Patterned Paper Question

I am trying to make some patterned paper...specifically a color blocked pattern (the entire paper would be square of different colors) I followed a tutorial on here on how to make polka dot paper using kaliedascope....how can you make the paper to have more than one color? How can I make a pattern and repeat it easily? If I need to further clarify myself please just say so.
Thanks, Nancy

I'm not an expert by any means but I'll give it a shot...

BEFORE you do the kaleidascope filter, make a group of blocks in different colors - then lock them together. Then it will repeat all of them.

OR you can make a group of colored squares, lock them, then just duplicate, duplicate, duplicate, duplicate...

Someone may have a better suggestion!!

I haven't tried the kaliediscope filter-- I made a circle blocked paper and just duplicated the circle shape. Then I used the "fill with color/pattern" tool instead of the paint bucket.

Under effects, distort, it's the second last one.
