Oh my, all I've seen so far are GORGEOUS!!! I wish I could do as well. My "funky" style doesn't lend itself to do what I would LOVE to do (pretty artistic layouts like the rest of you do!), but believe me, I drool over your work! I worked in advertising for a few years, so what I learned there was more functional than artistic, sometimes downright strange! LOL!!! I only have one child, and honestly, I'm sort of getting tired of scrapping only her gorgeous little face (yep, proud mom, but you can only do so much for one kid!!!). So this CJ is fun for me!!!

Have a question for y'all. Do you print out your own layouts, have them professionally printed, or just keep them as an on-line scrapbook? If you print them out, how do you present them? In a traditional scrapbook or something else?

Kate -
That's why I left my circle journal open to your own style. I know what you mean about scrapping our beautiful children over and over again. I love that I joined a circle journal it helps me explore other subjects.
About printing layouts ...
Right now all my layouts are on the computer and on CD's.
For my friend's scrapbook we had designed 12 x 12 layouts so I had some printed at Costco for $2.99 (since I don't have a wide format printer). I was impressed by their work.
I actually have a Canon printer so I'll start printing once I get my sampler kit of papers from redriverpapers.com.
For presentation, I bought Pioneer 8 1/2 x 11 albums with sheet protectors. I can't really say how the layouts look since I haven't printed out my own layouts yet.
I hope answered some questions for you.
I'm still learning and trying out products, services, and papers so these are just my thought for now.
Corinne

Done with Leah's page
Dd is for duck
Here's my simple page for Leah. Colors were inspired from one of my son's shirts.
Leah, let me know if you would like me to do another letter for you. I'll be happy to do it.
Talk to you ladies later.

I started scrapbooking long before even getting pregnant, so I've done lots of themes and subjects besides baby/kid pages. However, I have a really adorable 2 1/2 year old, so most of my scrapbooking the past two years HAS been all baby/kid pages! lol I actually decided to challenge myself to do digital layouts and I am doing my BOM and AAH (all about him for DH) digitally. I have been doing random layouts about Claire or non Bom/aah layouts. It is really nice to do things other than little girl pages!
Printing. I've only printed 1 of my BOM layouts so far, because I'm having printer problems right now. But that 1 turned out awesome! I have a purple (my fav color) and a black (dh's fav color) Mrs. Grossman's albums in 8x8 for our books. I'll actually probably print these cj ones in 6x6 (even though I'm having you make them 12x12!) because I came across a cute little book that I'm not using! lol I'm leaning towards more and more digital pages and think I might try to print a couple 12x12 layouts and mix them with my paper layouts. I can't quit paper scrapping yet...TOO MUCH STUFF! lol dh would kill me!

I've never done paper scrapping. We don't have a store close enough for me to get the supplies (besides Joann Fabrics and their selection stinks). I have gone to a scrapping store in Buffalo and bought some paper and stuff, but it looks like I'll just scan them and use them digitally. I found a place on-line that will do 8x10's and 8-1/2x11's for $1.99 each. I had them do three and they came out nice! Granted, it took a week for me to get them since they had to come all the way from Oregon to New York. Wal-mart didn't do a bad job, but they don't do 8-1/2x11's and they cost me almost $2.50. I figured out that between paper and ink, I can't print them myself for less than $2.00. Plus, I've had problems with color fading on printouts that are more than a year old. I like the 8x8 idea. That would be nice for a thank you for my mom for taking my daughter, me and my niece to Annapolis, Maryland and Philadelphia for two weeks this summer. Last summer we went to Williamsburg, Virginia and I found that my 512k memory card was filling up every day, so I went to a local chain drug store where I could download my pictures onto a CD for just a few dollars and have an empty card for the next day. I should probably get a spare battery as well. My husband laughs at me all the time and says that I see my world through the camera lens, which I guess is true! Looking at my pictures, you would think my husband is a single dad since I'm always the one taking the photos!

Bonny - at least you get to use all the pink that's out right now. I finally have a neice so I'm excited. I really want to do a BOM also. I think I'm going to convince my DH to do one about him as well. I just need to get a scanner soon to scan all of our baby pics. Like Kate I never got into paper scrapping so I don't have much but cardstock and patterned paper.
Kate - I just wanted to say your photography is beautiful. I really want to get into it as well but waiting for a a digital SLR. I have film SLR but I hate to wait for the pictures to see my mistakes. What kind of camera, lenses, film do you photgraph in? You really have a good eye for photography.

Corinne,
Thanks for the compliment about my photography. I used to use a Sony Mavica, which took awesome photos, but I upgraded to a Canon Digital Rebel SLR. I normally use a 55-200mm zoom lens. It came with a 18-55mm lens which is nice for close-ups, especially if I use my magnifying filters on it. I really like the Rebel. It's nice that I can use non-digital lenses, etc. with it. I used to use a Pentax K-1000 when I used "real" film, so I still have all my special filters and adapters, etc. In fact, I just threw away all my b/w darkroom equipment. It was outdated and crappy. I'll never get into it again now that I've gone digital. It's nothing for me to take 50 pictures on a walk around the block. Some of my best shots have been just carrying around my camera back and forth to work, and even some AT work. Some days I'll just get in the car and drive somewhere and take pictures. Someplace I've never been. I think this weekend I'm going up to Canada and drive along the Lake Erie shoreline. You never know what you'll find. My 13-year old is developing a good eye too. We got her a pocket digital camera for Christmas a few years ago and she's coming right along. She tends to look at things differently than most people do. She sees things that other people miss. Well, at least she inherited something from me, since she had her dad's curly hair and enormous feet!
