I'm doing a chipboard album . . .

for mother's day. I bought two heart shaped 4X4" chipboard albums by Maya Road today and want to use them for our mother's day presents for my mom and MIL. So, what's the best way to get my layouts the right size and shape to put on the album. Should I scan the album so that I have the right shape, and use the scan as a sort of template?

This is my first serious hybrid project, so I'd love any suggestions. Is it best to use Modge Podge to put it together, or is regular scrapbooking adhesive better?

Fill me in all you hybrid experts!!!

I would scan the album and make a page template; then simply make your layouts all fit the template!! Easy to do in PSCS!!

I wouldn't use anything on top of your pages, but glue them down well to the chipboard, being careful not to get any adhesive on the photos! chipboard should be easy to stick to. I also would print my pages out on Photo paper, seeing as you are only 4"x4" You could rotate them and get as many onto an 8.5"x11" page as you can.

Okay - so, I'll scan the album for a template, create the pages and put them onto an 8.5X11 to print out as many as possible. I think I'll be printing them on matte presentation paper. Then, I'll cut them out and stick them on the chipboard, using any acid free adhesive, and I should be good to go. Thanks!

Great idea to scan and make a template! This sounds like a great Mother's Day gift. You will have to tell us how it turns out!
