Hybrid Engagement Party Invitation
How to's:
1. I created a layout that was 8x5 (I like this size because I can print 2 out on a sheet, and it's easy to find envelopes for this size!) I used Creative Confusion's Just So Funky kit for the background paper and put a faux vellum piece on top with a slight drop shadow.
2. Because the party was at a bar I wanted a variety of mixed drinks for the bottom of the invitation. You can do an internet search for royalty free photo images (I found at lot microsoft's clipart website which you can use for PERSONAL use), or take your own photos.
3. In photoshop I merged all the images onto one layer and used a watercolor filter. Then I copied the new watercolor image into my orginal invitation document. Using the magic wand, I deleted any extra white around the drinks. Now I size and position how I want them on my invitation.
4. I added my invitation text, leaving room at the top for the ribbon.
5. Print and cut out.
6. I Painted a very thin layer of glitter glue over the contents of each glass.
7. Cut a tiny orange triangle and curl slightly. I glued this onto the "purple martini thing" for the orange twist.
8. I glued a multi-faceted galss bead for the cherry in the amaretto sour.
9. I tied a lime green knot through a lime green button and glued onto margarita for the lime.
10. Last, I punched 2 holes at the top and threaded ribbon through and tied in a single knot.
