Oh, that would make an awesome album too, SR! I'd defitely go with a 'dry' adhesive, like your Xyron or even phototape. You can use some ink or acrylic paint to color the edges of the wood panel if you like. And my personal opinion is that those binder rings need tons of ribbon and fiber!
Really, just measure the blank pages, make your pages, print them and then think of what you might add. (Better think of that before you adhere the pages, just incase you want to use paint or something like that.) Just try putting things together and see what you like. You could even take your printed pages and the album to a crafts store and see if they have other things you would like to go with it (and impress the people there with your digi pages at the same time!). And really, when you already have gorgeous digitally scrapped pages, you can't go wrong!

SR the xyron is the perfect adhesive for this project... just make sure that you have the permanent adhesive and not the temporary... or and just a little tip that will make things much easier... rather then trying to get cut the lo perfect to fit... i leave them a little big and then use a nail file or sand paper to sand off the extra paper... Gives a nice sort of shabby finish to the edge and it is always perfect. I have photos i can email you if you would like to see how to do this.... just let me know.
