I think this is a fantastic idea! I've been so immersed in all things digital that I rarely go into my scrap room anymore. But I love the idea and off I go to visit the new forum! Thanks, AMY!!!

I have always done hybrid! In fact, it was card making that actually got me going in digital!! Now I love digital best, but I like to cut, paste & embellish once I have the digi part printed.

I just finished doing a hybrid heritage album for my kids at Christmas. OMG!! almost 100 sheets of chardstock & patterned papers later.... and I'm sure I spent well over $100 ...makes those Shutterfly books sound pretty good, doesn't it? I am completely sticking to digital!! You never run out of paper...unless like Amy Teets, you run out of ink!! But I try to have a few cartidges on hand. (we live in a small town and it's not easy to just run to the office supply store!!)

I'm new here, but I have to say I love hybrid scrapping... That is actually how I got started digi... I started by creating mini pages for my traditional albums and doing fancy journal box and page elements... I've played with doing a digi page and leaving out the photos (especially when I know I already have print copies), this is good when you are dealing with old photos or transitioning from traditional to digital scrapping.
I also like the idea of playing with digi/hybrid to create art projects for my 2 boys...

Hybrid is becoming a major presence in the scrapbooking industry. It is so great to see more and more people uniting both digital and traditional. It really makes the options endless.
I'm glad we have some hybrid people here at SBB!!
