I would call & talk to the Photo Manager...They definetly do 4x8...That is what their usual card size is...They have to configure their software just to print the whole card you brought on disc & not put their "little graphic & salutation lines.

Hope this helps
Wendy

I soooo wish I had read all of this thread before I ordered my Christmas cards. I overpaid! I just ordered 5x7 postcards, no borders, from Snapfish.com. I usually have coupons but all had expired by this time. My total came to around $50 with shipping for 40 postcards. I'm kicking myself now for not being patient! Next time, I'm ordering through whcc.com!

4 x 8 printer found!

I was finally able to get my 4 x 8's printed locally. I got my package from whcc but was still concerned how long the test prints and back and forth cycle would take. I made some more phone calls; one to a local lab that does some of my sons sports photos and they referred me to my local Eckerd Drug Store photo department. When I told them of the referral, they laughed and said they do most of the other lab's work.

Anyway, 4x8 wasn't among their standard offferings so the tech had to setup a new "channel" on the machine. It took but a few minutes and I had my variations to proof. I had a few versions of the same file since I didn't know how the color would reproduce on their printer. I made my choice and about 10 minutes later had 70 copies in hand for about $28.

Very satisified!!!

Barb

This is probably a little late...

Mpix will print a 4x8. The size is not on the standard print\prices page, but once you are in the ordering process they have a 4x8 full image selection. I just ordered the pics from there yesterday.

I order my scapbook layouts from them also - the quality is outstanding!

My Mpix results

Thanks Jriessel, for your post about mpix. I had checked their site before, but apparently didn't dig far enough because I did not think they were able to do this. Anyway, I ordered Dec. 15th and got my cards the 18th. I was able to get them sent out today (the 20th ). (Yes, I pushed things right to the end this year, but it still worked out!) I ordered 70 cards and did go ahead and pay for the speedier shipping, so my total was just over 40 bucks. They look great & the site was easy to use. I will definitely plan on using them again.

MPIX

Thanks for passing on too. I used them for three orders (made cards for my brother and sister too) and I was extremely pleased. The quality was great and also the turnaround time. I thought it was easy to do to also.

Hi, I was wondering, on the prints that you ordered from whcc did the backs read "professional photograph do not copy"? I do some portrait photography and am considering going completely digital but I need to find a pro printer. Can't make any money when people take their portraits and have them scanned and reprinted for 5 or 6 dollars. Also, after you filled out their questionnaire what was the next step. I can't figure out how to upload pictures for test prints. Did they have to send you something first? THanks for your help.

I know a lot of people swear by WHCC, but I think it's far too complicated. I **love** Mpix, and will probably ALWAYS use them for both my business and personal needs. They are a pro lab, and DO print the "do not copy" statement on the back.

Mpix is SUPER easy to use, and doesn't require jumping though a lot of hoops to get a fabulous product. Hope this helps!
