I use the Canon i9100 and love the results with Ilford Gallerie gloss. DH uses Canon paper for his oversized prints, but I stick with Ilford for my 8.5 x 11 pages. I've had the same experience with Kodak papers as Janie--ink sitting on top of the paper.
