I have a confession....

.... I cheated on digital scrapbooking....

yes, I did....

Ok - here's what I did. I needed to send some pics to my mom from our recent vacation. I wanted to scrap them, but did not have time. I still will, but just wanted to get them to her. SO.... I uploaded them to shutterfly like I do when I send her reprints for her to scrapbook (she is still paper only). While there I checked out their photo books. Decided to try one out. So did a 40 page, suede cover hard bound book. They had 12 different layout styles you could use for pages, and a few different themes. Within those 40 pages, I have 76 photos. Some journaling on the pages (no embellishements). Very simple, yet classy. It took me all of about 1 hour to put together if even once I had uploaded all the pictures. I submitted it to get it produced on Thursday night (late, it was almost midnight). Friday I got notice it was done. Today (MONDAY) I got my copy in the mail!!!!!

I LOVE IT! It looks so good! Ok - so I'll get over my cheating this time... as it was worth it to get it done quick!

I guess it isn't really cheating, but I feel like it since I barely did any work and I have a scrapbook!

Has anyone else used it?

thought about doing this, too...

for a couple vacations we went on, my mom and I(our special girl trips we take)...
but had worried about how it would look/turn out. So, glad to hear they look nice and classy!

If you don't mind sharing: How much did it run once you were done with it all???
Do you think it's a nice gift or just more for yourself if you didn't want to scrap EVERY picture you owned??? Did the font/print look good as well???

Please let me know, as this is an option I was thinking of as a Christmas gift for my mom. I'd love to know!

TIA!
Shawna

Prices vary based on number of pages in the book (you can use all the multi-pic page layouts if you want more bang for your buck).

I did a 40 page book... the larger coffee table size. It has 76 pictures in it. It cost me $40.00. So for a dollar a page and hard-cover bound, it was worth it to me! AND the time it saved me was worth alot too! I still can't believe how quick it was for turnaround... so do not do more expensive shipping... go with regular mail since that is pretty fast as they use priority mail.

The font was ok, there are different font types available based on the theme you choose. You can only choose one theme per album.

It is an awesome gift, and I will most likely do one for christmas for family as well.

Thanks for the info.

I am doing a couple albums for Christmas, but am feeling overwhelmed with the over abudance of
pictures that need to be scrapped and the lack of time I have to do it. So thank you!!

Sounds Great! I think this is the route I will go for my mom's gift then... I'm glad to hear a personal experience before I purchased them myself. Thanks Again for sharing of yours with us!
Blessings!

Hey, whatever works! I'm glad to hear of a good source for hard bound books. And if it's quick and easy, all the better!
