you will not go wrong between the epson and canons.. basic difference s are.. most epsons except pigment inks (better archival) while only a few new canons are worth getting for pigment (pro 9000). However, epson are notorious for clogged ink heads (especially if you are not printing every day) while canons rarely if ever clog (even if you leave it unused for weeks). Good luck with you choice!

Thank you all! All the doubts...gone! I'm heading for canon.Found pixma iX4000 (euro 379) and 5000(euro449) and ask the dealer for 9000. I'm waiting for their answer...they said around euro600...let's see...
Pesto126 I know what you mean... I had once a epson head problem (didn't worth repairing, so bought a new one...)

Great choice... I love Canons and totally recommend them to everyone.. my little i960 is still cranking out 4x7 and 8x10 photos and notecards after 3 years...
