When you Scan the things dose the program convert them into more of a photo style or are they still look like a negative????

You basically tell the scanning software what area you want scanned, it converts the negative to an image for you to work with.

So you would want to scan negative instead of photos because the quality will be better? and after you scan a negative you can print it off as a regular looking photo???? I think I am making this harder than it is lol .

Photos have been printed at a set resolution (lower) in a smaller size at a developer. When we scan a photo, we are scanning an image that is a lower quality to begin with. Needless to say, I have noticed a huge difference with the scanned negatives.

One thing you may want to do is get a special cloth to wipe each negative and the scanning surface before you scan. Just to get rid of the dust and other stuff that can effect your final image.

Not sure of where to buy the cloth, but it is specifically for cleaning negatives and doesn't scratch them. Try checking a high-end camera store or an archival specialty store for them maybe?
