?? for Wacom tablet users

Hi,
I am new to digiscrapping and I'm considering getting a wacom tablet. Those of you who use one, please tell me some of your favorite uses for the tablet other than just touching up photos. How you use it in the designing of your pages, creating papers, ect.
Wacom bundles PSE 3 or 4 with the purchase of a tablet and I'm wondering if that might be the way to go. Thanks for the help.

I've actually completely replaced my mouse with my tablet - I use it all the time for everything. It is quite handy with writing in your own handwriting and for doodling, and overall just gives me more control.

I'm like Sarah.. once I got use to the pen for control, I use it all the time instead of a mouse!! I just like it for scrapping and being able to control the pointer!!

I love my tablet - but it did take some getting used to, so be prepared for that I use it when I create & scrap. You can draw, doodle, & write on your pages. I also like to use it to make distress marks & scratches - more control than with a mouse for that.

I use it almost exclusively for photo touchup and it is indispensible for techniques such as smudge... but it does take awhile to get used to especially trying to move around the screen since it works so differently than a mouse. For everything else, I still use my mouse since I'm just so proficitient at it.

Thanks!

Thank you so much for the feedback!! I'm thinking the tablet is the way to go for me. I had not thought much about it's help with distressing-and I can hardly create a page without distressing it!
I appreciate the tips.

Keep in mind the newer intuous line is quite a bit more expensive but provides you with a much more sensitive pen control, ability to assign keys to the side control buttons (useful for things like Ctrl/Alt keycodes) and enables the use of pen addons like the airbrush. The older graphire is less sensitive (although really good!) and doesn't allow for the use of these newer addons. Good luck.. I love mine but don't use it too often. It is amazingly good for those smudge effects or when you want to get precise on an adjustment.
