Question looking for scanner-printer

Hello ! My scanner is out of order and as my printer is an old one too I'd like to buy a scanner-printer because I wish to print by myself my pictures...and of course some good papers and so a better quality of definition than with my old printer
I had a look and think about the EPSON Stylus photo RX640...
Do you have any experience about this one ?
Do you have any other suggestion ?
Thanks for your help !

I have the Epson Stylus RX620 and just love it. I looked for the model you mentioned and it must be the European version of the one I have.

I use it for scanning and love that it can also do film negatives and slides. I have printed several albums of layouts and have been very happy with the results.

I did notice on the Epson site for USA that the RX620 is currently offering a $100 rebate on the purchase so that is a good deal. We had rebates when we bought ours last spring and had no trouble getting the rebate checks in a very timely fashion. (We lucked out and got $150 in rebates.)

Although they specialized in id scanners or something more like business card scanner you may find a simple scanner (but a good one!) in www.scanshell-store.com .

i'd skip the all-in-one deals and go get yourself 2 seperate machines... they will both do their jobs much better than an AIO.. Canon Scan4200 is $75.. Canon I960 is $200... much better combination.
