I know i'm full of problems with my equipment, I have tried to trouble shoot and re-install my Epson Stylus CX7800 software over and over again before I was getting Device unknown I changed my plug and play settings and now I don't get that anymore.
I've been at it for 3 days I've called Dell the maker of my CPU for support and nothing. Sorry this is so long but has anyone had this problem w/Epson printers? This one is my 1st and I'm thinking of taking it back ASAP!
The start here sheet says I can't use the Found New Hardware wizard, I must use "setup software" the problem is the CPU is not detecting my USB cable to the printer or printer period. It's a new A-B cable and new printer....
Any ideas or suggestions

Try shutting down the computer. Unplug the printer from the computer and from the outlet for at least a minute. The replug the printer back into the computer and the outlet. Reboot the computer and see if the computer sees it now. I have Dell and an Epson 2200 and love them both! I think when I installed mine I used the installation disk with the Install Hardware option from the control panel. Hope this helps??

Thanks Colleen but it didn't work, looks my Dell for some reason wasn't compatible w/the Epson so I took it back as much as I loved it and got an HP again!
