prof printing for 12x12 layouts?

has anyone sent out thier layouts instead of printing them yourself? If so, did you get 12x12 prints? Who id you use and what was the quality and paper finish?

did you upload your file through the internet, copy it to a CD, or did they scan a hard copy (traditionally scrapped page?)

Thanks for the input!
Alice

I send all of my 12x12 layouts to be printed at Costco. I have tried both lustre and glossy and love the quality. I did noticed over the past 1+ years that they are using thinner paper but it hasn't created any problems because it goes into page protectors. I usually upload my files through the internet but they do have kioshs there which where you can bring in a CD and upload from there.

The best thing about Costco for me is that most of my relatives have access to Costco so I will send them a link to my layouts and they can place an order to the Costco of their choice.

The disadvantage is that in order to get a 12x12 layout is that you have to print on 12x18 paper. Fortunately, for me this has worked out well because I can put 2 small 6x6 or 3 4x6 photo at the bottom.

I second the recommendation for Costco. I love that I not only get my 12 x 12 page for my album but I can make two smaller 6x6 albums for my mom and my MIL at the same time. Plus the price is very reasonable. As long as you have a good trimmer you are set.

I've had my 12x12 lo printed at ScrapbookPictures.com. I've been really pleased with their service. The cost is $5.49 each with a flat rate of $2 shipping per order (not per page). I usually upload on Thursday or Friday and receive the order on Monday.

Thank you guys for the info so far. I've been having issues dealing with an online printer. I went with one that had VERY cheap prices.. but aparantly no skills in cumtomer service and have been impossible to get a hold of. I've been scouring for other places to get 12x12 layouts done reasonably priced and good quality AND good customer service.

I upload and pick up at my local Costco too. I even borrow their trimmer and get my pages trimmed there.

I can print your layouts for you, 12x12 prints are $2.50 per page. You can have double sided or single sided prints. Send me 2 layouts and I'll send you a double sided print for free, I just need $3 for shipping.

Depending on what you are looking for, Heritage Makers does a GREAT job printing books! They offer a 12x12 and an 8x8 scrapbook. If you are looking for something you can add pages to later, this option may not work, but if you would like a completed, bound book, they are a good way to go!
