I had a canon printer that I decided to give cheap inks a try. Before that one set was used up, the printer died-- printhead was clogged and dead. Stick with the real stuff-- it is truly worth the price. They are calobrated to work with the machines. The fake stuff isn't--and sometimes the colors are off every so slightly and it really messes up the final product.

Thanks for this advice. I was just recently thinking of trying the "fake" ink to save money. Now that I know this, it is not a wise move.
