Printers

I have the Epson 2200. It prints up to 13" x19" or longer. I use the 12 x 12 premier art-matte scrapbook paper and am very happy with the results. But I must confess, I just love the way it prints on the premium glossy photo paper, so I do most of my layouts in a 17 x 11 layout used to 8.8 x 11 sheets. The colors just jump off the sheet!

I have had an Epson 2200 for about a year and I'm very pleased with the prints I have made with it. The biggest drawback at first was that the ink cartridges weren't available locally, although they have become available the last couple of months.

I have a Cannon i9900 and I LOVE it! It's one of the best printers out there in my opinion. I print 12X12 on it all the time. The quality is awesome. I print a lot of photos out on it and they come out as well as those I've had professionally developed.

Can I please ask where you are purchasing your paper and what brand and model it is? I am having a hard time finding paper for mine.

I have the Canon i9900 and I buy Canon 8.5 x 11 glossy/matte photo paper at either Staples or Office Depot - they frequently run buy 1/get 1 free sales and I stock up. As for the 13 x 19 paper, I've been getting it an Newegg - they've had the best price recently, although I always compare them to Amazon as they are usually competitive.

I have a HP 9650. It doesn't not have a setting for 12x12 but I have managed to change my settings to 13x13 with minimal margins and it prints almost to the edge.

My i9100 is getting tired and I wondered if the 9900 was so way much better that I should get it next, or just wait for the next generation. Do the red and green color cartridges make that much difference?
BTW - I LOVE my Canon too!! I use various photo papers, art papers, vellums, transparencies, sticker paper, and 13x19 ink jet paper. I have even printed on regular 12x12 cardstock and light patterned paper. (Lots of crafting going on here)
I have noticed color variations if I print the same lo on different photo papers. I haven't tried Canon papers yet (guess I should).
This is just my 2 cents.
