Epson R1800 Issues

I am having issues using my printer, and the manual has been no help at all!

I'm using Photoshop CS to create 12X12 LOs, and theoretically, I'm supposed to be able to print them out, borderless, on Epson's 12x12 paper. When I attempt to do this, I still end up with about 1/8" white border on three sides.

Has anyone else had this issue, and, if so, how did you resolve it?

THANKS!

You know what, I just printed my first page on my R1800 and it has a border too. I will have to play around with it and see. But, I am kind of disappointed with it already! I used the 12 x 12 matte and it wasn't what I expected. I hope to find some glossy 12 x 12 paper. For the price tag, I guess I was expecting awesome pictures.

OK, I'm back. I used the advanced settings this time. My picture quality came out sooo much better when I hit "Best Photo" rather than text. Woops! Anyway, this is so brand new to me so if I find out how to lose the border, I will let you know. I am using PSE 3.0, so it should be similar!

I've searched everywhere, and have yet to come up with an answer. I was looking at my paper and discovered that it was 11.6" X 11.6", maybe this part of the issue?

If it's anything like the R800, you have to make sure you select the borderless printer driver (I have several R800 printers listed in the printer drop down menu -- Borderless, manual, standard, etc.) in both your program print preview section and the Epson driver section. It took me a call to customer support to figure this out.

Hmm....I chose the borderless options on two parts of the print setup and still came out with the border. I don't really mind it actually, but would be really curious just to figure it out!

Have you e-mailed Epson? I did once for a question I had with my 2200 and they were really helpful within a day. So you may want to try that one if you can't get an answer here. Share the answer here when you figure it out since I'm sure this question will pop up again as more people buy that printer.

Spoke with Epson

First, forgive me for typos. I have a 6 mo old on my lap grabbing everything - anyway. I spoke with Epson and they told me my issues are printing through Photoshop Elements. I tried everything from using "fit on sheet" or actual 12 x 12 sizing. I selected borderless. I tried everything and frankly am tired of wasting my paper! I am finding that no only do I have the border, but it's cutting off part of my layout. I hope someone can help us out because I am clueless of what else to try! Thanks in advance for any answers!
