Paper for Epson 2200

Hi Everyone:
I have an Espon 2200 printer and was wondering if anybody else who owns this printer uses different paper than Epson? I am planning on making calendars this year for Christmas and I am looking for double sided paper larger than 81/2x11 and Epson doesn't make it. At least I haven't found that they have. So, I was wondering if anybody else uses any other paper (other than Epson) and how does it work for you?
Thanks.
~Michele

I've got the R800, but it uses the same ultrachrome inks and I've been researching papers recentrly. You might want to check out the Moab papers. I ordered a swatch book from them ($2) after reading some good reviews, and the paper looks really nice. The matte papers are double sided and come in a wide range of sizes. They're compatible with Ultrachrome inks and you can download their ICC paper profiles when you're ready to print. I've also got sample packs from Ilford and Red River, but I'm leaning toward the Moabs. I just haven't placed my order yet, so I have yet to actually try it... I'm so far from completing my project, I've just decided to wait until I have something good to print before spending the money. Good luck .

I also have the 2200 and I've used the Epson 12x12 scrapbook paper. It looks really good and you can print on both sides. Check around for price, I got mine for $1.50/sheet which is pretty good, but maybe you could find a better deal online.

matte paper

When you say you use the matte paper, do you mean that you print out all of it on the matte or just the background and then you add your pictures? I am curious because I want to print it all as one paper. Or am I wrong, this is not what you do???

I print it all out on the matte paper as one page. This is the great thing about digital. Print once and you are done with no excess bulk or adhesives! It really doesn't look matte once you put the page behind a page protector (they are quite shiny). So its like you printed your whole page on glossy paper once it goes into a book.

Does this answer your question better? If I'm still not clear, pm me and I'll try to say it a different way, or answer your question better.

Thanks!

Nope, you answered my question! When I was looking to buy some at the store, the matte one said that it wasn't good for use of printing pictures on it or something to the effect. I got nervous thinking what's the point!!
