No, I don't have the hardware... I'm trying to decide on one. Right now I'm looking at
Umax's : Astra 6700 Flatbed Scanner w/transparency unit ($149.00)

Oh sorry.. I would stay away for Umax products... I had one a few years back and it was slighty better than having nothing.. I think you can do better with an HP or similar name brand product.

I have an HP with transparency unit and I paid about $90 for it.. forgot the model number but if you check newegg.com, you'll find it.

I am sitting here chuckling as I post behind Jules. Just finished my Kodak story, now have to say I had a Umax and Jules is right, you should probably try something else if possible. (Jules! You should probably have my picture in your dictionary beside "configurations best to stay away from "!)
