I just got the Epson PS RX500 all in one and have been printing out pages (8 1/2 x 11) on the Epson scrapbook paper (they look great!). My question is that on my old printer (HP) if I tried to print in 300 dpi I would get an error message and I would have to resize it to print (to about 125 dpi).

Yesterday I forgot to resize a LO and I printed to the RX500 at 300 dpi and it printed just fine. In fact it really looked great. Does this printer just figure out the maximum or could I really be printing at 300 dpi. According to my calculations it can't print 8 1/2 x 11 at 300 dpi,

What do you think happened?
