Question Canon EOS D20 DigiSLR ?

OK, I have finally decided to take the digital SLR plunge. I find myself getting more and more into nature photography and wanting a faster camera with more pixels so that I can crop better (currently I have a 4 mp Canon G2.

So here are my questions: Which Really Good telephoto and wide angle lens should I pick up and how much mroe should I budget for them.

Does anyone know of a good article/book/etc. that teaches you about lens?

Finally, how long did it take you to feel comfortable with the camera? I know and anticipate a SHARP learning curve, filled with loads of frustrations and a few joys! LOL!!

Thanks for any and all help!!

You'll find that SLR lens are very expensive but you get what you pay for. Check out online sites such as BHPhoto.. expect to spend between $300 adn $600 for a decent 35-180 DSLR lens.. you want a low Fstop like 2.8.. You're going to spend $1500 on the camera.. don't buy a $140 walmart special. Just my 2 cents. You might also want to rethink your camera choice.. you can get the top rated Nikon D70 for $999.. or $1300 with the excellent lens kit.. very highly rated!
