Wow.. this will be a fun challenge, but even though I live in the US, will be hard! To me America is sooo many things! It is hard to narrow it down just to one.. but I think one thing that really makes it America to me is the history it has. Thinking back on people like George Washington and events like the Civil War and Civil Rights... Just the way that people and events have shaped what this country is.

Well , you will never believe what has happened, I have thought about USA a lot in the recent weeks, and made a LO about my friends as you know, what should happen today? My DH came home and told me he is going to Baltimore next month, and the company approved that I should go with him!!!! ?! Wow, I might be going to America, and well there is a bit of a drive between Washington and MA, but I might just might be able to do it and see the Partons after all those years! Wow, DH wouldn;t be talked into taking the kids though, well a flight is a bit long for a 3 year old, and his Mum is desperate to have them, so I think we should let them have the kids.... Anything I should see whilst I am there ?! Any suggestions appreciated! TIA< hugs, Olga

Fantastic news Olga - I'm so pleased for you. It's been years since I've been to Baltimore but I understand that they've completely re-done the downtown, waterfront area and that there is plenty to see and do - have fun!
My LO is Intracoastal Waterway

Since I just couldn't fit all of the things I thought of about America onto a layout, I kept thinking about what I could do. Lots of stuff in my head; but nothing really cried out saying, "Do ME"!!! Anyway, today (Sept. 9, 2006), we were watching the Space Shuttle launch (we always watch them); so I had my camera ready to take the photos from my front yard - I live about 100 miles West of the Cape and on a clear day can see the launches. Well, after viewing this one, I came inside and said - that's what I'm proud of about America; and it's in "my part of the USA". So, here's FLORIDA, USA:

PS Olga, in Baltimore, you have to see the Aquarium and from there it's only about 1 hr. to DC and you have to see all the monuments and maybe a stop into the Smithsonian Institution (real close to each other). Have a great trip - we'll be expecting lots of layouts from you after!!!

This week's surprise stop is IN America, so I will unite them, and moreover, the link to the Hawaiian kit is right here, thank you for coming, I am hoping that even if you never went to Hawaii, you will one day, it is truly a paradise for the big and small and it is fantastic to give you a big kick for creativity!
