I signed up last year... or so ago... but haven't been back to submit cause of something or another. Anyways, I want to do more (cause now I can, ha!) and was wondering if these challenges are just for fun, is there a finale, prize, was I not suppose to just submit mid-way, or it's just open for anybody whenever and wherever?

I submit one cause I liked the topic and I was playing with Photoshop's brushes at work and found a few that would work so well with the theme.

My LO was inspired by the "Kabuto" (Japanese Helmet). On children's day the Japanese put Origami Kabutos on cards and their sons to celebrate the growth and development of boys.

ps. I used one of Olga's papers for the digital origami.

Savitri, you are welcome to join any time at all, you have an interesting name, if it is not a Japanese word that I don't know that is! I loved your LO, and for uploading the LO you get some freebie at the end of two weeks, sometimes we will have a surprise stop in the middle of our themed fortnight, you can search our forums to find out where we have been to before, and you can always suggest our future destinations, too! We are flexible! I am glad you jumped in on this challenge, I hope you will come and check on us again!

I am new to all this, and I love how the challenges, actually do 'challenge' your creativity.

Here is mine...

I couldn't help myself - I had so much fun doing the first Haiku that I had to try another one. I've had these pictures from a local Japanese Garden/Museum that I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them - Thanks Olga for such an inspiring challenge. And thanks to all the other talented folks on this challenge that inspired me to play with the texture filter.

My second LO is Put the Mind to Rest

Wow! Some awesome Layouts I have witnessed! I am having a visual feast! Thank you everybody for the generous gifts of your talent to this challenge! You ROCK, Ladies!!! Diana, you are beautiful inside and outside! Nice to see you! Adiva, you are doing great, when you google the images, just make sure you abide by the terms given (if any) on the website, when you give them credits, and you should be alright. Diana, Priscilla, your haikus are fantastic! Keep them coming!
