Week 3: Geographically challenged go Swiss!

Hello, dear Ladies! And any gentlemen passing by
We are rolling up our carpet for this travel and taking a train, they are really nice and much more reliable than flying carpets this part of the world! We'd be able to see amazing churches nestling on top of the seemingly unreachable mountains, deep gorges with filigree bridges connecting the steep cliffs either side, luscious valleys, and we are arriving here when the Swiss turn up dressed in red (and other colours) for the so called "Festa in Piazza" Every village gathers at its square to celebrate independence from nobody seems to remember who. The main idea would be having a meal in a huge improvised Swiss family with neighbours and friends, and then show your solidarity with the rest of Switzerland by lighting a bonfire on every mountain, with the little citizens having their own procession in the village with their little candles, like tiny precious fireflies who will later all gather to see the fireworks! It is going to be lovely! I will try and keep you in tune by reporting of the 1st of August celebrations on top of our Mountain over Lake Lugano! Here is the inspiration piece! Plus set your magic free and create! Be inspired by anything Swiss! You will have until the 7th of August to upload, and keep your eyes peeled for any unexpected surprises on the way around next week! Don't forget to upload to our gallery here.

Wow! Girls, you have made my day! Yippee! Worth waking up to, well, Doris, I am sort of disappointed that I didn't see your daughter with pigtails and a white apron, but your chocolate story reminded me of the bar that I hid in the fridge as the temperatures were rising, so I have had a treat, while reading the rest I was all of a jitter (is that a word at all?) Be kind, I am very foreign (Funny how in Italian this is the same word as for "strange", well I guess "strangers" have derived the same way...) Well, I WAS all of a "watchamacallit" because today is the day when the decisions about DTM become known, but I am all calm now, I have had so much fun looking at what you are coming up with, and REALLY really loved it, no matter what!!! I want to thank you all and every one of you for support and kind words, and most of all for bits of your talent and personality that you have put in your pages! I bow to you!

I've tried three times to post this message. Let's see if this one goes through.

My Swiss layout can be seen at http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...0069&cat=11839 And this is a view I would love to see!!
