Week 2: Geographically Challenged stop in Paris

Well, ladies, we are going through a turbulent patch... This week has been full of "temporale" (summer storms (italian)) this part of the world, so our carpet has been landed in Paris, not the worst place in the world to get stuck for a week-end, could have been worse I have just returned from Paris last week, and already miss it! Here is a preview for a "Week-end a Paris" freebie for everybody who has already uploaded their images to our gallery, or will do so until the 24th of July! Watch this space. On the 25th we kick off and go to another country for a next two-week long challenge. And for now, I am off to pm all of you with the link to our freebie! It was a bit big, so it comes in two parts Paris, and part two.

Ok, so I am reading/understanding challenged....lol...I would love to join this challenge, but i don't get what we are supposed to do?! I read the week 1 descrip. but I don't undertand if we are just supposed to make a LO that brings to mind the country of the week or if we need to use certain elements?....please let me know!

It's totally up to you! If you look in the gallery, some of us created layouts about the country, some used the elements and/or papers in a layout that has nothing to do with the country... you can do whatever you want! I knew nothing about the country before the challenge, but as a social studies teacher I'm using this challenge as a chance to create some layouts for my students.

Hope this helps!

ty lori, and what a great idea about using it as a chance to get some stuff for your classes!
I am seriously thinking of using this as an excuse to use some props and buy some outfits for Tink (my dd)...lol use her as my "subject" each week....Kinda an "around the world in 80 pages" theme with her as the center of attention (or IF i could convince my boys to participate, switch it up that way)...
Does that sound too cheesy?...like getting a pic of Tink in a berret or of Elijah (my 7 yr old) with one of those frenchy mustaches drawn on?....lol I want to have fun with this more than making a "serious" scrapbook out of it....
ugh the choices....

Ok, I finally got to finish the inspiration collage. A bit tricky, my lil'un has fever and was really keen on snuggles, which I couldn't have refused So eventually we settled in my arm-chair and did it together, she was very outspoken with " I don't like it here" and "this is nice". So joint effort with the child led us to this. I hope it will get your creative juices going.
P.S. Victoria, you ARE fast!!!
