Week 1: Geographically challenged go to Tunisia!

Are you ready!
The flying carpet is steaming and ready to take you to Tunisia!... Why Tunisia, I hear voices asking... I have never been to Tunisia, I have no photos of Tunisia that need scrapping!..
Well, neither have I! But this is a challenge after all! I would have liked to start with USA, or Paris, or anywhere else I know a little bit better, but... when I applied for this position of a DTM, my dh trying to prove to me I would run out of ideas for the geography inspired projects, challenged me to do one on Tunisia, just as a place I have had no knowledge of.
I have enjoyed researching it, and hope that you will join me and have as much fun making your LOs. If you have any knowledge of the place, please share here any bits of info that might be useful or interesting to your travel companions.

This is what inspired me about Tunisia.

Please upload to our very own gallery here.

Thank you in advance, please, fasten your seatbelts, let us soar!

I have uploaded my take on this challenge here. I have prepared my Tunisian themed freebie, and will be sending a pm with directions on how to get it to everybody who showed interest in the challenge, and if you do post an entry to the challenge you will receive a freebie for the next theme by Monday 24th, so you will be a little bit ahead with the next challenge! The best of luck to all of you!

And to cheer you up on the way, I would like to inspire you with these quotes on camels:

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” (from the Bible)

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle if it is lightly greased.
Kehlog Albran

Do not free the camel of the burden of his hump; you may be freeing him from being a camel. (Gilbert K. Chesterton)

A camel is a horse designed by committee.
Alec Issigonis

If the camel once gets his nose in a tent, his body will soon follow
Arabian Proverb

Have fun!

Interesting challenge Olga - it's going to take some thinking but I think it will be fun and definitely stretch my creativity. Thanks for kicking this off.

the picture's text sounds like we just need to use colors or inspiration from your tansania research, not necessarily scrap about tansania (but oculd if we wnated to). Is that right?

Correct, McMartian, sorry don't seem to be able to find your real name, use any inspiration from the piece, anything about Tunisia inspires you? And you are quite right you don't have to scrap Tunisian photos, unless of course you have some to spare

Doris, I love what you have done! Brilliant work!
