Add Background in Photo Impact 8

Hello! I'm a newbie and am trying to create a page. Components are selected, but I'm having problems adding the background. When I click on the background of my page, Fill is not an option I can choose. I hope I'm missing some small step that is apparent to everyone, but me. I need some help, please!

Thanks so much for this site and these forums!
Debbie

I try to help, but as my program is in German I'm not so sure if that will work.
You have your page and none of the components are selected or marked. On the very top command line the second button should be called something like "edit". You press that and a menue opens where you can find the selection "fill" with a bucket in front.
If you choose this you have the choice to fill your background with a color, a gradient, a texture or a picture.

I hope that helps - if not, let me know and I'll try to explain it better.

Question Response to Adding Background Help

Thanks for responding. That is where I've attempted to do this. These are the steps that I've done. Create new & then I get a blank page. Then I clicked on edit and attempted to click on fill. It wasn't bolded and therefore not accessible. Is there something perhaps on the first screen where I created that I should be clicking?

Thanks again for your help. Isn't it wonderful that we can access assistance from all over the world?

Got it!

It's a bit weird to respond to myself, but I figured it out. When I created the new page, I had transparent selected, which eliminated the access to Fill. Thanks for the idea.
