I hate to say this, but I do agree
I don't know all of her reasons, so I am NOT judging her decision, as much as her timing. I think it was very unprofessional. If you start to give away a free kit, in order to inspire sales, then you must finish what you start. However, this is my philosophy about LIFE, not just directed at her. Sad to here of it.
Also, as purely a person who scraps as a hobby, not a designer, not even close, I am somewhat dismayed by the overall tone of the above linked to thread. I have not read the entire thread (sorry, have to leave soon for work) but I will, so I apology if it does get to one of my concerns. If this site is only going to end up being made of posts where we have to design our own designed elements, than I won't be able to post anymore. Paper scrappers use bought kits, elements, etc.. AGAIN, maybe this is addressed further in the link. I really like seeing people post stuff with kits, especially kits that I also own and have used, because that is how I learn to be more creative.....as in saying, "Wow, I didn't think of using things that way."
I really do love this site and the exchanges with like-minded people from so far away.
As for Holly, I really do hope that if she does not change her final decision, I hope she decides to change the transition. It would have been far better to to have finished the free kit and then offer sales of her new CD for a few weeks and then stop sales after an ANNOUNCED, PLANNED time period. Her customers would greatly appreciate it.
