Printing LOs - big question

Help!

I have very recently become hooked on computer scrapping! I may hang up my Tombow and put up my Bazzill for good!

Problem is - how do I print out these adroable LOs? I want 12x12 size, but can't afford a new printer right now. I have read that some people have them done at Costco. Does anyone know if Sam's does this as well? Also, what is the cost? DO they print on 12x12 paper, or is it larger paper that is then trimmed?

Thank you so much for any help you can give me!
Heather

You can do a search on this as it's come up many times in the past.

I think the consensus was that no commercial printer will do regular 12x12 because it requires a different kind of (large-scale) printer, so it costs an arm & a leg. Some people were sizing down their pages to 11 x 11 and getting them printed that way as that was substantially cheaper.

I was wondering how to print, too. I went to Staples today and they can't print in 12x12 yet, but they might be able to by summer.

Has anyone tried to print them out at FedEx Kinkos yet? Im going to see what sizes they will print out cause my local one can print stuff upto poster size. I had them do a photo that size once so i think they should be able to manage a simple 12X12.

also its not the neatest way but what i have been doing is creating 12x12 layouts, cutting the image in half and printing each half, before putting them back together in my actually scrapbook. its not the fanciest way of doing it but i get 12x12s that way. or i make the elements on a sheet of white cardstock cut them out and apply to 12x12 paper of matching or contrasting colour.

I send all my LO to ezprint.com. They are a bit more expensive than Kinko's or Costco, but I don't have any of those stores near me so I have to go this route. EZprint has never disappointed me and they have a really bit selection of print sizes. Despite EZprint being a bit more expensive (about $4.95 for 12x12 LO), I found that they are still cheaper than printing myself and the quality is better than what I can get with even the best printer.
