I am new to this and I currently have Microsoft Digital Image Pro 7.0 and Photoshop Elements 2.0 that a friend gave me.

Are these outdated or is there an easier program to purchase!

Both programs are used by scrappers here. I use Photoshop Elements and I love it. Digital Image Pro is a little easier to learn but doesn't offer as many options as Photoshop Elements. My suggestion is that you play with both programs to see which one you like best. Check out the tutorials to get started.
