So, I took 7,600 photos last year...how many do you have? And how many to scrap?

I just backed up all the photos I took in 2004 and realize I have more than 7,000 of them! It took 12GB of my hard drive. Thank goodness for digital! If I do film, these photos will amount to 300 rolls of film and I will have to spend at least $1,800 in film and developing. My digital camera had paid for itself!

Anyway, if only 10% of them are scrap-worthy, I have to scrap 760 photos. That's probably 250 pages with my style. My scrapping goal this year is 2 pages per week. So I figure I will never get caught up, unless I retire at 40 and just scrap full time

How many photos did you take last year? And how many do you plan to scrap?

In the same boat

I only really started taking digital (or really any kind) pics this summer and already I am up to 9000. I initially thought of scrapping all of them, but know that I will never be able to! Doing two sets of about 30 LO each scrapbooks for gifts for presents had me only sleeping about 3 hours a night for roughly two to three months. I am getting way tooooo old for that, so I have just given into the fact that I will never scrap all the pics I take or all the ideas I have for LO's. I will just do as much as I can, while having fun doing them.

I don't know how many digital pictures I took but based on my film history it was probably around 5000 pictures but I kept less than 800 pictures in 2004. Of those, I found 38 that were scrap worthy. Its taken me almost a year to break my habit of keeping all my pictures good or bad.

I'm also one of those that can't stand to delete a picture...I might NEED it...LOL!

Anyway, my camera resets every 10,000 pix and I have reset it twice last year so that is a lot of pix!!!

One idea I had was picking just a select few from each "photo op" to scrap and then printing the rest of the really good ones and putting them in picture holders (inserts) in a companion album.

Hope that makes sense.

Anyways, I love digital! I'm just a snappin' fool!
