I'm in KS, but I probably couldn't make a meet in Jan. School to teach, weather to affect driving conditions and no one to watch the kids. Have fun, and maybe this summer you'll do it again!

My vote is for January 22nd, as opposed to the 29th, since SBB birthday is that week & we'll be doing stuff for it through the 29th probably AND since DH and I will be trying to move the last weekend or doing last minute packing to move.

I live in Bloomington, IN (south of Indianapolis a bit), and I'd be interested. I don't know when the super bowl is, but you might want to stay away from that weekend, since it seems lots of families try to plan things around it and husbands might not want to be left home alone with the kids Janet

I am soooo excited about this! I hope that there is someone out there from the Chicago area? I'm looking for a scrapping partner to share ideas with!

I'm in Dayton, OH so of course Ohio sounds good. Being fairly new, I don't know anything about these type of events. Hopefully they are a learning experience.

I don't think we've done a mid-west gathering before so this will probably be new to most of us. I'm so excited there are so many of us!! I hadn't thought of the superbowl issue but that's a great point Janet. I'm wondering if maybe we should shoot for February 5th. That'll give us a bit more planning time and it looks like the week of the 22nd might be tough for a couple of us because of birthdays and the weekend of the 29th doesn't work for Leeandra (and it just wouldn't be the same without Leeandra!) and I'm also guessing that' the superbowl weekend. Anyone have any conflicts with the weekend of February 5th? Unfortunately we'll probably not find a weekend that works for EVERYONE but hopefully we can do this more often.

Without having a map and push pins in front of me, does anyone know where a fairly central location would be for the responses we've got so far?

Also, since this is the first time for most of us to get together, any ideas on what we should do? Where should we meet? Restaurant, local scrapbook store, hotel? I've got a laptop I can take along so we can maybe share ideas. Anyone else use a laptop for scrapping that they could bring along?

Indianapolis, IN is sounding like the best place to me. We have 2 from MI, 1 from IL, 2 from OH, 3 from IN and one from the GA/TN border. It sounds like we have nine all together and 2 are right in the Indianapolis area, I'm only about 3.5 to 4 hours from there. Can everyone who has replies tell us how far they are from Indianapolis?

How about if we choose a hotel and see how much they will charge for a meeting room. I bet they will have a projector we can hook up to your laptop and we can have some lessons in special effects and making elements. We can all share our ideas and methods. This is sounding like so much fun! I may have to invest in a laptop just to do this!

What about software who uses what programs? I use Photoshop CS?

Sounds fun - count me in! Being near Chicago, my vote would be for South Bend, but Indianapolis would work too.

Just checked and the Superbowl is February 6th unfortunately.
