Question How to save homemade elements and backgrounds?

I recently made a few backgrounds and saved them as PNG files, wasn't sure to click on Interlaced or the other option ..... so I made one of each.
Well, now I tried to open the files, and moved one background (mat) to the other, but it turns out that neither of them are able to be resized !!! The handlebars don't appear and I can only move them around...

Anyone understand what I'm doing wrong?

How do I save the elements and the backgrounds I make?

Hi, I don't really know why you wouldn't be able to resize your backgrounds, unless the layer is locked. You'll be able to check because on most programs there will be a little padlock (or something similar) in the layers pallet. In Photoshop you can double click the locked layer to rename it and unlock it.

You don't really need to save backgrounds as PNG files. These are best used for items where you need to retain transparency, like photo frames or word overlays. For ordinary backgrounds I would just save as a JPG file, but make sure to also save in your programs native file format if you want to go back and change them.
