First off no question is dumb. I too felt like it was huge but I think the reason it looks huge on the computer is we are working at 300 dpi and the monitor only show at 72 dpi I think. Don't quote me on the numbers. LOL Just wanted to show you why it looks so huge. It will print out as a 10 by 8. I use that size all the time in PSP and have no problem.

They might be blurry. To ensure that I don't get blurry pictures which is usually due to the fact that you enlarged them, when I open a photo I make sure the dpi for the picture is 300 dpi. Then I copy and paste it. I can make it smaller without losing quality but making it larger will most of the time give you a blurry print. If I have a photo I know I want to be bigger on my LO, I scan it at a higher resolution like 600 dpi. I change the resolution in my scanning program. Then when I change it back to 300 dpi, I have a bigger picture. Here is an example: I have a picture that is 3 by 4 inches and I scan it at 300 dpi. The biggest size I can make it on my LO is 3 by 4. But if I scan it at 600 dpi, when I place it on a 300 dpi LO the picture will be 6 by 8 inches. I hope this helps you understand. If not let me know and I will try to answer you questions.

You need to change your camera settings to the best quality. I don't know how much memory you have on your camera but when I change to the best setting I only can take about 10 pictures before I have to download. Hope this helps.

Yeah for printing out, you will want larger photos from your camera. If you are using an adobe program, they are pretty good with enlarging...you may be able to enlarge those photos a bit, but the more you enlarge, the more likely you'll have blurry images. The best thing to do is play around with different sizes until you find what works for you...go ahead and print a few pages out to get a feel for it, too.
