Cool Newbie to Digital but dying to get going

Rob,
I LOVE your layouts. I have been attempting paper scrapbooking for more years than I care to mention, but always get frusted when I can't keep things in chronological order. Your layouts are more my style than a lot of the ones I've seen with all the 'elements.' (I am a (retired) electrical engineer, and tend to relate to the male approach on lots of things.) I have only done two layouts on the computer, and they were done with purchased scrapbooking software. I have Photoshop Elements and my full-blown version in in the mail. I really need a crash course in using Photoshop for scrapbooking. How'd you get started? (Are you one of those web designers?)
Keep up the phenomenal work. Thanks for sharing!
Jane M.

Thumbs up Male Artist!

Your work is exquisite!!! I love your layouts which have a true artistic eye, and design. Funny to me, I've been involved in paper arts of all sorts all my life as a mixed-media artist. I know many "male" artists of all types and levels. I know many rubber stamping artists who used to get funny looks at the stamp store, but no more. I also know a couple collage artists who are phenominal. I'm glad I can add you to the ranks. If you want to see more works done by fellow male artists, go to Stampscapes (google the addy) to see Kevin's work, and to Tim Holtz's site (google again) You will see you are in good company.

Too me an artist is an artist, I do not look at the gender and as I said I know many men who grace our world with their style and expression. I'm already inspired by your style of expression. I am a collage artist so my way of doing digital scrapping is not necessarily with pictures of someone I know, I use a lot of elements and words to collage what I feel. I am new to digital and so my work is simplistic in the layers but that's what I like, lots of elements and overlapping.

Thanks for inspiring me!! Keep on creating!!!

Lea
