It's Not too Late!

I am taking my daughter and 3 of her friends(they are 10,15,16,17)shopping with thier boxes on Saturday. My sister and I are providing the money and they get to shop for someone in need. They seem quite excited about it. Now that I know about it, I will start buying items for next year. I will pass the webiste along to others!

Count me in

The fam and I just got back from the store and I am stuffing the boxes as i type ok not as i type I am tallented but not that talented. hehe As I pack the boxes I think oh no I can fit more stuff in it. And i put stuff back. Thinking that we had more than what would fit in the box and more than what is neede. Then my realy woried side comes out and starts thinking about the boxes the people who realy have some extra money put together and I only hope that the child that gets ours are not disapointe. I remember a few years ago a boy in my street did this for scouts so we all donated a few things and he put them all together. I think on his own he did over 100 of them with all the stuff people gave to him.... Ok well i am off to finish these and figuire out where i am going to drop them at.

Count 2 more for us

Jess

Trust me Jess! YOur gifts will be VERY appreciated. The childrend that receive these boxes have NOTHING like we do. Just basic necessities are heaven-sent. The toys are just the icing on the cake!

Thank you Jess and Sarakali! I'm so thrilled that you're joining us. Let us know how many boxes you turn in, so we can add them to the SBB tally!

Thax cardee

I know that the kids will just love it ... but if you cant tell i have complexes some time ... I am over it now hehe.

Oh and so way funny while we where at the dollar store picking up the goodies we ran in to 3 more familys doing the same thing. The diff is that there kids school was doing it.

I just printed off the drop off sights so I guess tomorow i will call and then try to find one of the places.... Not always a good thing for me. If i ever left Utah I would be so so lost.... (even more than I get now hehe) The mountains our my compa. When i am lost I know when I see my mountains what way I am going... Comes in realy handy hehe.

Thanks Jess!

This is so wonderful! Your boxes will be SO appreciated. There aren't words to express the joy the kids feel from these things.

I'm horrible with directions too. LOL! I can't find my way out of a paper sack! Have a good day!

Christmas boxes

Hey Carla. Wow, our church is not only sending the boxes to Belize...but also the youth group is going to distribute them to the kids. WOW. I"d love to go and do that as well. We packed up our two boxes a couple weeks ago and took them down to the church. It was very exciting and very emotional for me as I can't even imagine a little person going with less than nothing. In our box, we always pack something little for "mom and dad" like a set of family toothbrushes and toothpaste and their own plastic cups. Something for the whole family but special little toys and treats for the kids. Also we put in a photograph of our family with a letter on the back telling them that we thought of them while we were packing it and told them how much we cared. Brings them a sense of who we are. We packed for two boys as we have two boys and in Belize, they were short last year on boys boxes. I am soooo glad to read all of these entries and I encourage everyone to fill a box. Certain dollar stores here in Canada have the offer of if you spend $10.00 on things for Operation Christmas and tell them at the till....they give you a free plastic shoebox to put things in. May you all be as blessed as the child that receives this.

Smile

My friend is hosting a party on Saturday to pack boxes. We're all bringing bulk things from the dollar store and splitting them up into different boxes--pooling our resources! I'll try to get pics of all the fun and festivity of packing boxes.

Oh, and for next year....my friend saves up all those happy meal toys to put in her boxes. I thought that was a great idea, but alas, I couldn't get my kids to part with theirs! LOL
