Question How to Categorize Fonts?

Hello all,

I am curious how everyone categorizes their fonts. I realized that I am gathering WAY TOO MANY free fonts, and now I need to categorize them. I have come up with the categories listed below, but am wondering if anyone else has either seen info listed somewhere that they used or a guide or have come up with their own list.

As always thanks for any and all help!!!

Childish
Cartoon
Script
Sci-Fi
Computer/Typewriter
Historical
Fantasy
Scary
Funny

I know that Tanya, one of our DTMs, has a Commercial category for fonts and brushes, so if you ever think you'll make your own elements, that's good to know.

a while back Simple Scrapbooks, or maybe it was Creating Keepsakes, produced a cd/dvd called FRESH FONTS that sold a bunch of fonts, but more importantly had an organizing process for them AND a printout that showed you all your fonts. Back then i didn't use it really, but your post reminded me of it and i'm running out to my garage to find that cd and reinstall it cause i'm swimmin' in fonts now that i'm doing more digital pages.
