Cool Very, very newbie!

Hi there! I'm so new to this, I don't know where to get started! I can do signatures in PSP8, but that's about the extent of it. I recently discovered DDE and this site - and have wanted to do Digital Scrapbooking but didn't have a mortal clue where to start, how to get started...and I have over 2500 digital photos I'm not exaggerating!!! I'll tell you about me and maybe that'll explain why...

I'm GinaEgg (to make it easy to distinguish me from DDE's Gina). I've been married to my college sweetheart, Brad, for a little over 14 1/2 years. Our first date was March 1, he asked me to marry him on March 2 and we were married on March 3. Um, well, that would be in the years 1986, 1989 and 1990 respectively! We started trying to add children to our family in January 1993. Our first daughter was born January 2003 -- after 9 years of infertility treatments and two IUI procedures. Then, surprise, surprise...when Elizabeth was 8 months old, I called DH at work..."So, you think we can get the office cleaned out over the next 8 months?!" I was pregnant again, no medical intervention required!!! (note to self: breastfeeding and previous infertility are NOT birth control! ) Our 2nd daughter arrived in May of this year. So...two babies in less than 2 years...after almost 10 years of infertility...hence, 2500 digital photos! We take pictures almost every day. I'm obsessed with documenting the daily minutae of our lives in pictures...just because I can!! (got to love that about digital photos)

So, anyway, I've paper-scrapped for about 9 years -- since my oldest nephew was a wee one. And I've always done the Creative Memories thing. However, I find myself drawn to more elaborate pages that still highlight my photos...but not knowing how to do it or get started.

I'm looking forward to the newbie chats and challenges. I hope to be able to participate as much as my 22 month old and almost 6 month old will allow!!!

Well if you don't have any idea where to begin you have definately stopped at the right site!

Welcome to the digital scrapbooking world!

Have you selected a program? If you have you may want (if you haven't already) to post under that programs area for questions. Also, check out the tutorial section and hopefully there will be some good beginner tutorials that can get you started.

Kids are fun I'm sure most of your photos will ooze with the love you have for your children and you will in turn change that from just photos into layouts.

If you have any questions lets us know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see your introduction and welcome again!

Welcome to SBB Gina!

Sounds like you've got a lot of experience with paper scrapping and are using PSP8. You may be interested to know that the SBB School of Scrap will be offering introductory classes for free to help folks with their first digital layout. There will be a class specifically for PSP (as well as the other popular programs), and it will be scheduled soon.

Glad that you've found us and can't wait to see you layouts posted in the gallery!
