Yay! Let's start submitting!!!!

I've gotta get moving on this - I'm amazed that submissions for the next one are due only a month after this one came out.

Are any of you submitting any of the same pages you submitted for the last call or are you figuring if they didn't want it then, they won't want it now?

Personally I'm not resubmitting anything that I've previously sent to SS. But I am thinking about sending some stuff that I sent in for the CK Toddler book. I figure that although SS and CK are affiliated they same people will not be looking at the entries.

Is anyone sending in 2 page layouts? If so, are you sending in one small JPG of the entire LO or 2 JPGs (one for each page)?

Well, I finally decided to take the plunge. I just submitted eight layouts to Simple Scrapbooks. This is my first magazine submission so I'm holding my breath. Maybe some of you who are more experienced can tell me how this works. Do they contact you only if your layout is chosen?

I submitted 1, and then the form said I had already submitted and I couldn't submit my next one... but I have 3 to submit, so how am I supposed to submit? How frustrating. Especially after working up the courage to submit after all my stuff was rejected last time.

Jacquel....that happened to me too ( a couple of times in fact!)....I found that if I hit my "refresh" button I was able to submit. (Go figure?) If that doesn't work, try closing your browser completely and going back in. I know just how you feel though...you're left wondering whether you actually DID submit or not, eh?

Stacy, I submitted a two page layout and I sent two .jpegs. With the 100 dpi limit I figured a combined spread would be just hidious!

Good luck to everyone...even if they don't take a THING of mine I can't wait for the next issue! I just keep reading Digital 2 over and over and driving my husband crazy with my...."I know her!'..and "I know her too!".....SO much talent here!

I've submitted about 6 LOs so far and haven't encountered Jacq's problem yet. It's taking me a while to sort through my LOs and make sure that they'll come in under the 100K limit and do all the description and such.

Thanks for the info, Pattie. I need to split one of my 2 pagers for submission. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't the only one doing it that way.
