Do we need a digital FAQ?

Wow, I can't believe all of the new members! (Welcome everyone!)

Seeing all of the new members, and knowing the learning curve we all had when we first started hanging around SBB, makes we wonder if we need a digital FAQ that we can point people to. I originally thought of the FAQ idea when I saw a lot of posts about how to make uploads small enough. And, I saw ShellyRae's sticky about unzipping in Windows XP.

Some other potential topics would be:

transparency and alpha channels in PSP
how to use elements when > 1 one a page
link to the how to submit elements document
basic information about PS, PSE, PSP, PI, DIP, and any other software (not tutorial; more along the lines of buy this if .... buy that if ....)

These are just a couple of ideas off the top of my head. Maybe there would be one FAQ, with links to separate, software specific ones where possble. I know I haven't even scratched the surface of topics. Maybe everyone could post their favorite helpful tidbit, and we could organize that into an FAQ.

Whaddya think?

We already have a FAQ. You can access it by clicking on Other information at the top of the page and then FAQ. Here is the direct link. http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/faq/index.php

It looks like they updated this section also. From what I can remember, this one is easier now to navigate since the update. Check it out. It has lots of info stored there. If you have any ideas what can be added to this section, I am sure the administation would love to here your ideals.

Thanks, Vivian. I sure didn't know we had that FAQ. I found the general bulletin board FAQ, but not that one.

duh.

When I get some more time, I'll check that FAQ in detail, and see if there's anything kind of general I know that's not in the FAQ. If I come up with something, I'll write it up and submit it.

I have to say that if I were a newbie- it is a little hard to find.

Maybe there should be a direct link for FAQ and then "Other" right next to it.

Also, it is pretty skimpy right now, but it has gotten better and I see that there is a place to ask a question- that is a great idea!

I'm sure that this is an awful lot of work, but definately the questions that get asked over and over should be there.

Thanks to all who have contributed
