I haven't done this, but here are some general freelance guidelines:
-Take the cost of materials and double it. (Paper kits, paper, printer ink/professional printing costs.) This way you will be able to buy some extra supplies for your portfolio.
-Always overestimate how long it will take you to do each page. No one complains when you come in under budget!
-If you have a sense of how long it takes you to do a page, make sure you're getting a decent hourly rate. Remember minimum wage is at least $5/hr!
-Don't forget that you will need to tweak the images, select the good ones, peruse page kits looking for what you want. They should pay for this, it's still your time!
Not sure if you want to do hours+materials, or just a flat per-page fee. Also remember to bid a bit high and if they say it's too expensive you can always offer a discount...
