Just a poll to get some conversation going! Do you buy page kits online? I have to say I love them and have to pace myself to not buy too many! I find myself looking forward to fridays to see the ads on the yahoo group LOL! Anyone else?

I haven't bought a single one. I guess I enjoy making all the frames, BG's, etc myself. I feel like I really own my page when I'm done. :lol If that makes sense. It's my creative outlet, I guess!
But I do see a lot of cute stuff in the gallery from those kits. They are really nice!

not really

I generally don't by them because I make my own. I did make a BIG exception today, and pre-ordered Miss Tanya's CD. The kits on it are absolutly stunning. However, this is the first designer's CD I've bought, and I don't anticipate buying any others (unless they are Tanya's. )

That's not to say that there isn't GREAT stuff out there. It's just that when you make your own, you tend to hoard your pennies for buying ink, paper and more hard drives!

I'm planning on buying one each Friday after I get done with work. It's my reward for making it through another week! Eventually, I'll have quite a collection! I'll be buying CDs in the future, but I'm trying to start small.

I just have to thank you and tell you that it is such an honor to have other elements designers buy this cd when i woke up today to lots of emails after being up all night long i could have cried but my eyes were dry from sleep.

I know how the hoard your pennies thing goes and while i used to not buy any cd's or kits i find myself buying them now just to support other people. Besides I find that incorporating other peoples elements with my own in layouts really makes my layouts feel complete. I enjoy supporting other scrapbook artists as well as just love to buy their product. My mil just started scrapbooking digitally and i've been buying some kits for her to use as she doesn't make her own elements

No matter whether you decide to buy elements or use freebies or make all of your own just enjoy what you do.

Tanya

"Hello...my name is Pattie...and I'm a Ronna junkie!" LOL! I'm seriously addicted to Ronna Penner's work and can't resist buying her kits when they come out. Have also purchased downloads from Maya...and they're wonderful too. I'll be making my first CD purchase this weekend when I preorder Miss Tanya's new collection. Have always loved her work in the Elements section here, so expected it to be good...but not as good as the previews show it IS!

That said, I must add that many, many, MANY of the free downloads here as as good as (if not better) than much of what I see for sale. I'm constantly amazed at both the generosity and talent of the individuals who share so freely here. What an outstanding group of women...so glad that I found this community!

YES :)

In a word...YES! Even though I can create my own "stuff" and do quite often - I still LOVE to buy kits and elements created by other designers! First of all - I do not have the time to make everything from scratch on every LO I do...I would never be caught up! And...as creative as I am < >...we all have different design ideas and I love buying things that I never would have even thought of making! Hope that made sense! I won't say how much I buy as it would be...well...embarassing - but I will say that I have added another hard drive since joining SBB I frequent scrapbook elements all of the time...and have to say that the first thing I ever purchased is still my favorite - Gina Cabrera's CD...and since that purchase - I MUST own everything she creates...I don't think I would be digi scrapping if it wasn't for her! But, there is A LOT of talent out there - so have fun!
