I haven't bought any kits or CDs yet, but I'm just biding my time. I'm waiting for that nice $100 check from SS to come in the mail, but I'm still debating on what I'm going to get with it. Hubby already told me that I should put it back into the "business", so, was I going to argue?? He actually didn't try to con it out of me for something for him, LOL :P

Lately I've been making my CD, so I haven't had a chance to catch up with everything else out there, but I'm definately leaning toward a Ronna and a Tanya purchase possibly in the near future. I agree with the other designers in saying that it's fun to use others too, even when you can make your own. Gives a new feel to your work!!

Wink

I haven't purchased a digi kit, yet. I'm new to computer scraping and just trying to get a better feel for it first. I'm so totally overwhelmed by the fantastic work I see here. When I finally put together something I like with the gorgeous free stuff here, I'll start looking for things to buy. Of course I'm enough of a nut to want to learn how to make all this great stuff myself too! Thanks to all of the talent here and your willingness to share.

To answer my own question - or further elaborate on my answer anyway - I'll say I'm a big fan of the kits and cd's. I've been a paper scrapper for several years and I never felt compelled to create my own printed paper when scrapping traditionally so I don't feel obligated to do that now! I have been creating a bunch of my own backgrounds and some simple metal elements using the tools that DH has on hand (who *knew* we had eye candy? LOL) but I still really love getting the fleshed out page kits from any number of designers. I share Shabby Princess's enthusiasm for Scrapbook-Elements as well as Gina's cd! It was my first digital scrapping purchase and I've used it a ton! Since then I've added the Baby Daze cd, Clara Wallace's Matter of Scrap CD and Julie Mead's From Girly to Grungy CD and they each bring seomthing new and cool I can have fun scrapping with and they've each been so worth the cost to me. The downloadable page kits are awesome too - I love that I can choose one to buy and be scrapping with it an hour later!

I guess I'm just a digital kit junkie.

I use tons of page kits! Just having what the DTMs and HDTMs have made is quite the collection let alone anyone else out there.

Smile I do now!

I just bought Miss Tanya's kit after seeing this thread. Incredible!!!
I have been eyeing Gina Cabera's kit, too and that will be the next one I buy.
I really want to make my own stuff (newbie to digital, here) but the kits are too beautiful to pass up!

Hello, my name is mcm and I'm a scrapbook-elements junkie.

Yeah, it's bad. I'm sure my husband thinks I've lost my mind (I have never done anything artsy or craftsy before, and I am SO hooked on digital scrapping...which I had never heard until I accidentally bumped into it a few months ago while searching for Humpty Dumpty images for my family weblog).

But it's good, because I have some wonderful kits!

Every Monday morning (or sometimes late Sunday night ) I check the scrapbook-elements site to see if there's anything new by Michelle Underwood or Ronna Penner.

Since I spend too much on kits, I've decided I won't buy many CDs. I love love love Gina's Spring/Summer CD and would buy her next one sight unseen. And I've been eagerly awaiting Miss Tanya's CD ever since I saw a couple of layouts with her CD elements. And one of her kits has a Humpty Dumpty! which is how I bumped into digi-scrapping to begin with. So that's one CD I will be purchasing very soon.

yes!

I buy lots of elements. Mostly from scrapbook-elements and then CD's. I have bought almost everything that Gina has at her site. I have preordered Tanya's CD at www.playonelements.com (wonderful stuff, trust me!). I also have Jeri's Digital Scrap Sets CD, Anna's Baby Daze CD, both of the earlier SBB CD's and Clara's Let's Get Digital CD. So... I guess you could say that I'm an element buying addict! LOL

i haven't bought any. the ones that i have were either free, or came on a cd collection through the design team that i'm on, lol.

that doesn't mean that i haven't seen anything that i want- i know that ronnie mccray at elemental and michelle underwood at scrapbook-elements are both awesome designers, i drool over their stuff constantly- i just know that once i started, i'd never stop, and well- i can't really justitfy buying kits and stuff to my husband because he knows that i make my own.
