Thanks for the link, Marsha, but it was to the UnzipthemAll program, and I read on another thread that sometimes that doesn't work with Windows XP.

I was actually looking for the program MsGuidedAngel recommended, unless ... can anyone tell me if UnzipThemAll can, in fact, work well with Windows XP??

WinRar

andyapc... sorry I didn't respond earlier....but I get confused as to who is saying what to who...lol

The link to WinRar is Winrar

Click on the English version. It is a small download...1.10 Mb.

Download and install...you don't even have to open the program to unzip.....-->>

What I do is create a new folder for downloads and when I get about 20-50 (depending on how many I want), then just select the files (USUALLY SELECT ALL) you want to unzip and RIGHT CLICK on the lot...select EXTRACT HERE...and delete the zip files afterwards. It will put files in separate folders if there are many in a kit...if there is only one file...no folder.

Clear as mud??!! Hope this helps....
Denise

With Windows XP, you can highlight all the files you want to unzip and rightclick. There should be an option right there that says something like "Extract all to here" without having to click WinZip first. (Can't be positive, as it's on my laptop at home!)

Thanks Carrie and others..........I've been having the same problem. I have owned WinZip since 1996, but I had not put on the Dell 4600 that I purchased last Winter, because XP had a utility for unzipping. Today, I went ahead and installed it and went to the Winzip site and got the latest upgrade FREE. In nine yrs. I've never had to pay for an upgrade on this software!!! Gosh, this is so much quicker!!!!

Thank you, thank you and thank you!!!!!

Pam
