I notice that I am a "use lots of pics per layout" type person (as you can see in my gallery). What about you?

For me it depends on if the layout is an event (birthday party, trip to the zoo, etc) or a photo/journaling inspired layout.

I picked 3-4 pics in the poll. I really use 1 to 5 pics depending. I like to mix it up. Sometimes I have one great picture that I want to stand out and I use it alone. I think by using 1 big pic on a page and then 5 pics on another page..it will give my scrapbook a little UMPH when people look though it. Not the same type of thing throughout. OR at least that's what I think.
When I started it was really HARD for me to use just 1 or 2 pics. It's my family and I like all the pictures usually. But by singling a really great picture out here and there, I found it made a bold statement. Plus you can make it pretty big, which is also nice, if you want.
My friend and I were just having this discussion and she tries to fit SO many on one page. I told her she had to, "let that go!" LOL

I used to add more photos, but now I just pick one or two that I LOVE and scrap them. I was noticing that people would look at the layouts and not at the photos, so I've been trying to make the photos more obvious than the layout.

When I paper scrapped I used more pics per page because I seldom had enlargements made. Now that I digital scrap I can make them whatever size seems suitable. Usually I have one central photo with 1 or 2 supporting photos.

I would agree with Carole...used a lot more pics when I paper scrapped. Now I like to focus on one or two great photos.

I do very, very few single photo LOs. I tend to take "tons" of pictures of every event or whatever I'm snapping, and I almost always have several that I want on the LO. I am trying to do better about weeding them down so that the pictures on the page tell the "story" or convey the journaling.
