Red face Begginer from Brazil

Hi,
I have just posted 2 threads but only now I've seen this Forum...
well, my name is Michelle and I just love all kinds of arts and crafts, and was dying to start scrapbooking, when I ran into this website and found this amazing digital-scrapbooking world!!!I'm the mother of a beautiful 15 month old boy (Daniel). and I'm from Brazil, what makes my life a little harder when I post anything here, since the language I speak is portuguese... (sorry in advanced for any bad spelling, etc...!)
Anyways, it's been a few weeks since I have been "looking around", but finally got the courage to register today!!!
I hope I can learn a lot here wit you all!

Michelle

Welcome Michelle! Don't worry about your spelling. Some of us native English speakers don't spell all that well either.

I can't wait to see your layouts! And please post if you have any questions.

I second what Stacey said. I have spoken English all my life and can't spell so don't worry about it. I encourage you to ask questions if you need help. Everyone here is so helpful. Welcome to SBB!

Hi Michelle!

I'm new here too. So far, I find everyone to be kind and encoucouraging. One of my good friends here in USA is from Brazil. I'm used to native speakers of Portuguese speaking english. My friend and I do American Sign Language too. How's that for several translations together. Have fun here! I know I am.

Thanks a lot everyone!
You are all very nice and kind!
Jolyn, I have lived in Minnesotta for a little more then a year with my parents, but that was a while a go!!! I learned signed language at school, since in my school there were many kids who where hearing impared (is that correct?????), many of them my friends...
Hopefully I'll post something soon... I have finished my first LO, wich is a very simple Rosh Hashana card (Jewish new year)... Should I post it? If so, where?
Thanks you guys!

Michelle

Michelle,

Just go to the gallery and click Upload Photos. You can post cards in the Scrapbook-bytes Member gallery. It should be the default category when you upload. Lots of people post cards (thank you cards, birthday invitations, etc) in the gallery. And I love seeing new ideas.

Oddly enough I am learning ASL right now. LOL We live near a large Deaf community and we use baby signs in the home to help my little guy communicate his needs.

Looking forward to see your card!

Welcome, Michelle. I love that our group is so international. Can't wait to see your posts. Cheers to all of you who know more than one language. And a special cheer to those who have learned ASL.

Carole
