Unhappy Hi newbie Here

Hi I am very new to this. A friend told me of this site when she saw it in a magazine ad.
I am so confussed. I am loveing what I ahve seen so far.
The questions I have might be already answered somewhere else. So please be patient with. They may also sound stupid.
First is digital scrapbooking used by printing the page kits out on to cardstock?
If so Do I need to get a special printer and special ink?
If anyone has any advise i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks so much
Bee

Hi Bee!

I believe that the majority of folks here create their entire LO in their software program then print it out on photo paper of some type. I now we have a few folks who just print out the elements (papers, tags, etc) and then use them in paper scrapped LOs.

As for printing them out yourself, you can use an inkjet printer. I haven't printed on cardstock yet but I will be soon as I'm doing some mini pages for my son's Disney autograph book. Printing on cardstock for just elements might be okay, but I wouldn't print photographs on it.

HTH! If you have more questions please post them!

I create all my layouts completely digital. I have paper friends who download elements. I recommend paper scrappers print "outside" the box- print on vellum, transparency, or sticker paper. I've got several beginner tutorials on my website.
