Question HELP! PNG in PSP- Saving transparent???

OK I am a photshop user, I have friends who use PSP and we would like to share digital scrapping elements betwen us.

It seems that PNG is the best format for saving transparent elements that we can share. The only problem my friend is having is that the files merge and flatten when she goes to save it as PNG, so when you reopen it has a white background.

Any tips on keeping it transparent? When I use photoshop to do it I don't have that problem and can even keep the files semi opaque etc... I even had a go at PSP to see if I could save a transparent PNG but same thing happened.

Does anyone know how to do this! Im sure someone must with the amount of scrap sets I have seen on here, must be done by a PSP user!

Waiting in anticipation for advice! Thankyou

You and I had the same question.
I followed the advise given here and it worked very well.

Good luck
