saving scanned images?

Can anyone tell me what is the best dpi to scan in my 12x12 layouts?I plan on printing them and making them into an album for family and friends..I also sell them on ebay..I need to know the best dpi for printing and the best dpi for viewing on the web.

200 to 300 dpi is required for printing. What a great idea!
